Breaking and Holding was selected as the ONLY novel featured in the Players Lounge of the U.S. Open, the last of the four Grand Slam tournaments. The Open concluded September 11th, with Stan Wawrinka defeating Novak Djokovic, 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, 6-3.
At the Ladies Day Luncheon of the Winston-Salem Open, I was the keynote speaker. My topic? Tennis, Writing, and Life. I also signed copies of Breaking and Holding.
I loved introducing John Isner to Breaking and Holding. I bookmarked page 201 -- the scene at the University of Georgia, where he played collegiate tennis. John is 6'9". I'm 5'2". What a pair!
